This design is of the facade of marble tracery to be found on the Piano Nobile of the Ca’ d’ Oro. The most famous of Venice’s Gothic palaces.

Deriving its name from the gilt covered facade that has long faded, the Ca’ d’Oro is a magnificent example of the so called Flamboyant Gothic.
